Admission |

There are no formal prerequisites for admission to the
Certificate programme. However, candidates for the Certificate must
produce evidence which satisfies the Director of the Waikato Pathways
College that they are proficient in English language to the equivalent
of IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of Level 5 in the Writing Band. Candidates
must also have reached a standard of education at least equivalent to
NCEA Level 2 in a New Zealand secondary school. |

Every candidate for the Certificate must be accepted
by the Director of the Waikato Pathways College. |
Requirements for the Certificate |

The normal minimum period of enrolment for completion
of the Certificate is two semesters. |
4. |
|
Candidates must enrol in the Waikato Pathways College
and follow an approved programme of study. |
5. |
|
Candidates must gain 120 points, including 45 points
from the three compulsory papers, as prescribed in the Pathways
Programmes entry in the University of Waikato Calendar. |

Every candidate for the Certificate must complete to
the satisfaction of the Academic Board such class work, practical
work, assignments, tests, and oral and written examinations as may
be required. |
